1. Is the Springstep subfloor hard to install? What do I need to install it?
Springstep IV doesn't require installation products. Its patented tongue and groove system allows even the most novice installer to easily snap its components together. It requires no nails, glue, or screws. You will need a circular saw to custom fit the panels to your room, but the floor panels require relatively little cutting. The Springstep IV does not attach to floors or walls, yet has the appearance and functionality of a permanent subfloor. The Springstep IV subfloor easily transfers to the next location, and it is always possible to add or subtract more square footage.
2. Can I install the Springstep over a regular concrete floor?
Yes, but it is imperative that you apply a concrete vapor barrier to the floor before you install. If the vapor barrier is not applied, moisture can collect which can damage your flooring, causing wood to swell and seams to spread. If you do not apply a vapor barrier over your concrete flooring, you void all Aeson's guarantees. Try our Bone Dry or Versa Shield vapor barriers to prevent these calamities and protect your investments.
3. Do I really need a subfloor? Can floors be installed over a regular concrete floor?
Aeson offers one line of flooring that is designed to be installed over a concrete floor without the use of a subfloor. Woodstep Plus and Woodstep Ultra are multipurpose sport floors that have a foam backing and an exceptionally realistic wood design. They can be installed temporarily, semi-permanently, or permanently over a concrete or hardwood floor. The concrete floor must be sealed against moisture before installing any floor.
4. Which is the most versatile sport floor?
Timestep is the best multipurpose sport floor that Aeson offers, because it is our most durable. Timestep is ideally suited for all movement activities including aerobics, multi-purpose, gymnastics and martial arts. This heavy duty portable and permanent flooring is ideal for percussive sport and is non-slip.
Every flooring system Aeson offers can be installed temporarily, semi-permanently, or permanently except for the Hardwood Flooring System, which is a custom designed permanent hardwood flooring system.
6. How much is shipping? How long will it take for me to receive my product?
Shipping time and cost is based on weight and distance, so it will vary per order. A Aeson representative will provide you with specific shipping charges with a no obligation estimate. Most orders are delivered within 7-10 business days from the day the order is placed.
7. I'm having problems installing my floor. What should I do?
Before you install your floor you should thoroughly read all of our installation instructions, but if you are still unsure, you can refer to our installation booklet online. You can call our offices for technical support Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, Eastern Standard Time.
8. I have a Aeson floor, what should I do to maintain it?
Aeson offers a line of eco friendly maintenance products for both wood and vinyl floor surfaces. The Slip NoMor Maintenance kit is timesaving, cost efficient, durable; and enhances both the safety and the aesthetic beauty of your floor.
9. How do I remove scuff marks from my floor?
Rent a floor cleaning machine from a home supply store with a green scouring pad and use the appropriate flooring cleaner. Once that is done, use the Slip NoMor Maintenance kit to protect your floor against future scuff marks and tap residue.
